Projects I made (2020-2024)
I started using Photoshop during 2020 lockdown, and learned a lot of things.
Early Photoshop Drawings
2020-2021 | age : 11-12
2D Animations/Manga
2020-2021 | age : 11-12
Comics
During this time I made a small comics about pigeons and even made a poster:
Manga
I also started a manga about knight pigeons and things
First 3D Models
I first learned Blender in 2021 but gave up for 1 year before actually doing some projects with it. I was making short movies and 2D animations at this time so 3D was a good solution to make backgrounds.
Other
2D Animations
I also made 2 exhibitions for my drawings and made multiple posters like this one for my school projects:
First 3D Models : Learning Blender
2022 | age : 13
Before getting into my 3D journey, here's some drawings I made during 2022:
I also made 2D animations (I made the last one on my phone):
Now the 3D part:
I learned Blender again and tried things and experiment with the software:
I remade my room but in Blender and tried to make it photorealistic:
I also made a 3D model of my old blue haired character in 2021. I was getting better at Blender:
I tried to model my old laptop and actually made a timelapse of it on Youtube:
After a few months on Blender I started to understand how to use it in depth and made some morrocan instruments and test different kind of materials and textures:
I practiced by modeling a guitar from image reference for asset modeling later
Then I took back my 2021 hunter drawing and made it 3D, tested shape keys and discovered mixamo.
I trained a bit making isometric rooms, here's a 6 months progress:
Then I made a random 3D pigeon
First Videogame
2022 | age : 13
Let's go back in time to early 2022 (it was a long year) because in parallel of learning 3D I also started game developpement.
I started my indie developper journey by learning Scratch and making a bad game but it was fun to create.
I was getting bored in Scratch so I went to a more advanced software (still no code) called GDevelop 5.
I got Covid so I stayed 2 weeks at my home (I make big advancements when there is a lockdown) and made a first prototype of a pixel art game but quickly created another project with a pixel art pigeon fighting anthropomorphic birds with lazers and cool powers. The result is okay but the code was horrible (I didn't know how to use variables).
I am at the music conservatory (I play piano) so I also made the game OST in Logic Pro.
After creating this game I wanted to make a full 3D open world photorealistic game in Unreal Engine 5 (logic next step) but my laptop couldn't handle Unreal Engine 4. This is why during 6 months I prepared the assets for the game in Blender and waited for Christmas 2022 to get a super powerful computer to work with and run Unreal Engine 5.
Open World Pigeon Game
2022-2023 | age : 14
At this point I mastered the basics of Blender and had a solid workflow.
As I said earlier I spent 6 months making the assets for the game before getting a super powerful computer to run Unreal Engine 5 at Christmas 2022.
This new project was meant to be an open world game with pirate pigeons during 17th century after all humans tamed them and vanished forever.
